We have an newly created opportunity for an experienced Underground Mine Manager with one of our key clients. The company has forged an outstanding reputation based on their production performance and the development of a fantastic company culture. This position will play an integral role in the continued development of this well-earned reputation. The Underground Mine Manager will assume full statutory responsibility for the underground operations and will cover all site functions, including mine planning, production, geology, safety, environment and administration. Your duties will also cover:
Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and deliver relevant training to all staff
Prepare and deliver on short and long term targets
Manage financial and production budgets and report accordingly
Mentor and supervise technical and operating staff
Oversee of daily site production meetings
Preparation of weekly/monthly reports
Ensuring Environmental compliance
The position will require a WA First Class Mine Managers Certificate and proven experience with underground production environments. You will also be expected to bring the following skills and/or experience:
Proven experience in an underground mining environment (including production, mine planning & design)
Proven leadership and supervisory experience with a clear focus on the mentoring & development of staff
Solid business acumen and ability to recognise the key commercial factors associated with successful mining operations
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present at Board level
The position is being offered on a residential basis and full relocation assistance will be provided. A highly competitive salary package, upwards of $190K will be available and this package will reflect the level of skills & experience offered.
