Sr. Global Riser Specialist (Sr. Consul Riser Engineer)
As a Sr. Global Riser Specialist you will:
• Plan, budget and organize assigned project related design functions of marine SCR’s, Top Tension Risers, and Umbilicals.
• Act as the lead engineer for independent riser design projects or lead engineer for the riser segment of a larger multi-discipline project.
• Perform/supervise assigned project related Riser engineering activities.
• Manage budget and schedule, monitor change orders and attend meetings.
• Provide bid engineering support related to riser design and prepare CTRs.
• Devise new analysis procedures and develop design tools.
• Provide technical guidance and consultation to less experienced engineers.
• Insure ISO 9001 Engineering Operating Procedures (EOU’s) are followed.
• Occasionally provide marketing support to business development group.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications
• Min. BS/MS degree in engineering (Structural/Mechanical/Engineering Mechanics)
• 15+ years of professional experience in marine riser engineering.
• Familiarity with field development scenarios and proficient in the design and installation of marine risers and umbilicals.
• Proficient in relevant riser design codes.
• Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to interface with clients, consultants, vendors, drafting designer and other engineers in multi-discipline projects.
• Good computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with riser design/analysis tools such as Flexcom, Abaqus, Shear7, Fracture Graphics.
• Able to demonstrate creativity, foresight and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving riser engineering problems efficiently and economically.
• Must have good writing and communication skills (verbal and written).
• Have excellent work ethic and maintain a good work attitude.
