An International Engineering Consultancy requires a Metals Sector Project Manager to join their UK office. The ideal candidate will be a Professionally Qualified Engineer, preferably Chartered, with at least 8 years relevant design experience in the Contracting Project Environment. Responsibilities will include ensuring the successful execution of assigned projects, so that HSE, time, cost and quality targets are achieved and ensuring the application of best Project Management practice, including corporate initiatives on all projects, to facilitate effective and successful project completion. Manage the generation of execution strategies for all assigned projects, so that the most cost effective approach is taken and so that there is a common basis for planning by all functions.
The candidate must be comfortable with executing projects of moderate size (typically £1-£5million), dealing with tight deadlines and maintaining constructive and cooperative relationships with clients. Salary and benefit package commensurate with experience.
