Our client is currently in need of an experienced Production & Operations Director with extensive working knowledge of the coal industry.
You responsibility will encompass all production operations pertaining to a large coal mine.
You will be responsible for mine planning including:
Determining all mineable coal reserves
Life of mine plan
Economic mine life evaluation of resource
Strip ratio evaluations and economic highwall cut-offs
Long and short range planning for the mining direction of the property, surveying, statistics and reporting
Other responsibilities will include:
Management of contractors
Fixed plant maintenance - mine and coal terminal
Capital equipment and project justifications
Short term planning – mine economics and operating cost evaluation
Coal haulage, waste and coal mining and overburden stripping
Accommodation is available onsite with a 4 weeks on / 1 week off roster with business class travel to Point of Hire. Whilst onsite you will have a vehicle, mobile phone and be covered by medical insurance.
