The successful applicant will be integral in the successful tendering on the Design and Construct of multi-million dollar Commercial (high-rise), Retail, Health and Mixed Use projects. You will be responsible for planning and controlling the project design to ensure it’s completion in accordance with all deliverables, parameters and objectives to achieve complete integration between all key stakeholders for a seamless, collaborative total project delivery.
Key responsibilities would involve:
Provide full design support to the Project Manager during the construction phase and organise an appropriate leadership handover on construction commencement Manage the liaison and relationships of all key stakeholders Develop the project design brief and maintain by regular review, update and sign-off with the client Manage the design including all inputs, coordination and deliverables to achieve the time, cost and quality objectives Set-up, monitor and manage the design program including integration with the project construction and procurement main program Report monthly on project performance criteria including cost, time, quality and design Set-up and manage monthly client and consultant principals meetings, weekly design, services, coordination and team meetings Manage the performance of all direct-report staff including establishment of clear responsibilities and authorities along with setting and review of training, development and performance objectives
Key requirements:
Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent Minimum of 7 years as a Design Engineer in construction Must have 2-3 years management experience High degree of proficiency in data analysis and reporting skills Competence in MS Office and other PC software Excellent leadership, management and communication skills
