Our Client is a leading gold mining company with operations in Papua New Guinea, Australia and West Africa. An ASX 100 company and Queensland’s second largest listed company, they have undergone significant transformation over the past three years which has seen its market capitalisation increase fourfold. The company is now building on its strengths, including its diversified portfolio of high quality operations, strong financial base and talented team of people. Over the coming years they will be pursuing an aggressive growth path to significantly boost gold production and firmly establish the company as a dynamic and internationally competitive gold major. Our Client has an opportunity for a Senior Electrical Supervisor - High Voltage (fixed plant) to join its operation in West frica.

Position requirements:

* Manage the maintenance of all electrical and associated assets on site
* Operate and maintain high voltage electrical supply and distribution equipment
* Monitor and manage all fixed plant electrical maintenance-related activities
* Manage the statutory requirements of all electrical plant and asset maintenance related activities
* Report on all electrical maintenance activities to the Maintenance Manager
* Assist with developing electrical maintenance budgets and forecasts.
* Compiling and completing “Significant Incident Investigation Reports”
* Initiating the implementation of “Standard Work Procedures” for all electrical equipment and assets
* Assume the role of Acting Fixed Plant Maintenance Superintendent as directed

Candidate requirements:

* Electrical Engineering Degree or Diploma or recognised trade certificate in the Electrical Mechanic, Fitter discipline
* Holder of an Electrical License (MUST HAVE)
* Holder of a High Voltage Switching Ticket (MUST HAVE)
* Minimum of 3 years experience in positions of increasing responsibility in the mining industry
* Working knowledge of computerised maintenance systems
* Well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills in English
* French (MUST HAVE - working knowledge)
* Previous experience working in developing countries
* Senior First Aid certificate

A highly competitive FIFO and compensation package is being offered.
