Reporting to the President/COO and working from the company?s Toronto head office, the Director, Project Development will provide strategic leadership and single point accountability for all evaluation phases of major capital/mine development projects that integrate mining, milling, smelting and refining. These projects, located in North and South America, range in value from $100 million to $1 billion.
Your accountabilities will include; selection and management of internal and external resources to execute the engineering and financial evaluations; implementing, modifying and maintaining project management systems; liaising with and reporting to key internal and external stakeholders.
You are an action and results oriented leader with; a mining-related engineering degree, preferably with an MBA or PMP qualification; 15 years of mining industry experience with 5 years senior project experience; strong motivational, organizational, communication and project management skills; a strong business acumen and an ability to work tight deadlines.
