THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by a major international oil company to provide candidates for a Contracts Manager (Pipelines) position. Perth is an extremely attractive location with low cost of housing and living, fine beaches and great sailing. Our client would consider contract or permanent staff basis. Perth is regarded as a highly desirable location for families. Cost of living is very reasonable and the schools are also very good. Client has big workload internationally and in Australia and role will require travel. Excellent benefits.
THE PERSON
Minimum 20 years contract formulation experience with offshore oil & gas development projects. High level of commercial contracting competence from strategy development through analysis, negotiation, award and management of large commercial contracting transactions including close-out. Experience developing pipeline project contracting strategies / individual contract strategies that align with company business drivers, project objectives / supply market capabilities. Experience of managing Senior Contracts Specialists responsible for formulation, award and post contract management of major contracts. Ability to interact / influence senior project personnel, JVP representatives and other stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Candidates should have tertiary qualifications. Good understanding of principles of EPC and EPCM contracts. Highly experienced with negotiation of contract terms and conditions. Broad understanding of technical elements associated with major oil and gas contracts with ability to interact effectively with project technical people. Good interpersonal skills with ability to work as part of multi-discipline team to fast track project timelines. IT systems literate.
