The Commercial Consultant provides counsel and assistance to management in a wide variety of operational, governance, and business matters associated with the Company's directly owned joint venture (JV) investments and those under development (asset value in excess of $63 billion). The Commercial Consultant also develops and assists with the development of organizational documentation and agreements for JVs as well as procurement for projects and expansion, all with significant financial impact. The Commercial Consultant may also provide advice to Company-nominated Directors serving on JV boards, and assist with the development of corporate governance programs for Company nominated Directors on such boards. This position reports directly to the Director, Domestic Joint Venture Coordination Department and works independently with a minimal amount of functional guidance.
Requirements: Education: University Degree in Economics, Business Administration or other related degree with demonstrated ability and experience in corporate agreements development. An MBA or similar postgraduate degree in Finance/Economics is preferred, and a J.D. degree is highly desirable.
Fifteen (15) years experience in the field of mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other significant commercial operations, and/or experience related to the oversight of investments with a focus on corporate governance, contract engineering or contract procurement; diversified practice with a law firm or the law department of a business firm or organization is preferred.
