THE ROLE
A major international oil and gas operating company has requested CCL to provide a Property Project Manager. 6/2 rotational or residential contract. International travel will be required subject to requirements. Rate is internationally competitive dependent on experience and qualifications.
THE PERSON
Role is based within Property Management team of Business Unit Resources organisation (BUR). Responsible for strategic direction of capital investment construction property portfolio and for the safe, high quality and timely delivery of project activities relating to this part of the portfolio; strategic planning, business case delivery, risk management and mitigation, finance / budget control and compliance, stakeholder relationship management; Financial / Budget Planning, Forecasting & Reporting; Market Interface; Management Information & Compliance; Organizational Capability; Integration. Proven track record in direct project management, building handover and transition for at least two big scale construction projects. Knowledge and experience in construction management best practice; contract management; contract negotiation; building commissioning processes; and building systems best practice. Proven track record in M&E Engineering. Relevant project management experience preferably in Africa.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Degree in engineering, architecture or building qualified to certified position, RIBA, RICs or equivalent. Strong analytical skills using IT tools such as Microsoft Excel. Good teamwork and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work with people at all levels and across organisation boundaries. Ability to inspire confidence in the Client, staff and contractors. Sensitive to local commercial, contractual and political culture but strong and effective in negotiation. Demonstrable innovation skills and knowledge of how to present to senior management and influence approval in order to proceed. Excellent leadership, written and oral communication skills in English and Portuguese.
