THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by a major international oil and gas company to provide an experienced Contracts and Procurement Team Leader for a position based in one of the country's most progressive centres with its near-perfect climate year-round. Our client will consider applications from all nationalities that are eligible for Australian residency, but are particularly interested in Australian citizens or residents. As Client has big workload internationally and in Australia candidate would be required to undertake business trips. Excellent benefits.
THE PERSON
Experience in contracting and procurement. Previous Management or supervisory experience in the oil and gas industry. Strong leadership qualities essential. Wide experience of different types of upstream projects and developing different types of upstream contracting strategies. Requires strong drafting and analytical skills, must be able to develop complex ITT and evaluation documentation; experienced and capable in performing complex and thorough evaluation of tender proposals; experienced negotiator of contractual and commercial agreements and associated provisions; skilled in the drafting and production of contractual agreements. Fully understands the relevant supply chains necessary for the support of oil and gas E&P operations in Australia.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Degree or equivalent in management, law, economics, finance, engineering or QS (ideally CIPS, NCMA, etc.). Good working knowledge of Contract Law and must be able to understand, manage, coordinate and act upon the work and inputs of various specialist support functions such a Finance, Treasury, Taxation, Insurance and Legal. Good people management skills. Excellent track record in implementing C&P best practices and techniques. Demonstrates skilful application of Contract execution / administration, Materials Management, Market Demand Management, Sourcing and Supply Risk Management. Supports Core values through the Companys Business Principles. Working with different people with different ideas, ways of working and levels of organization. Self-starter with ability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated. Deliver professional approach to quality of work. Ability to adapt and develop. Be flexible and innovative to come up with effective solutions for complex situations. Excellent team player, competent to participate in complex and routine matters. Fluent in written and spoken English.
