Internal & External Advertisement

You will be responsible to manage and promote health & safety, environment, quality and housekeeping parameters in section. Enforce adherence and compliance with all regulations and procedures and initiate corrective action where necessary. Manage production parameters and resources to ensure optimum production output; formulate optimum production plan/programme for the section, and implement accordingly; focus on optimising operational efficiency in the section. Originate, implement and control section operating and capital budgets.

Ensure that various production related tasks are carried out as per standard operating procedure; liaise with members of the various departments within MOZAL, and the broader BHP Billiton assets, to improve productivity and production efficiency.

Motivate, empower and develop subordinates through coaching and mentoring.

Manage industrial relations issues and conflict constructively in the section and maintain a positive IR climate.

Responsible for the formulation of production programs, achievement of targets and the effective use of resources in the Casthouse area.

Ideally you will have a Degree with at least 5 years experience in the production in an Industrial Environment, Good understanding of the overall Casthouse operation and the Mozal value chain would be an added advantage.
