BHP Billiton Worsley Alumina is the joint venture operation of BHP Billiton, Japan Alumina Associates and Sojitz Alumina. As a member of the world’s largest diversified resources company, Worsley manages a bauxite mine and alumina refinery in Western Australia’s South West and offers candidates an enviable choice of lifestyle, based in the state’s picturesque South West.

We are currently seeking an Administration Assistant within our Mine Production department for a 12 months fixed term contract. This is a multi-faceted role requiring a highly motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic working environment. We need a skilled communicator who places a high value on customer service, teamwork, integrity and initiative.

Responsibilities of this challenging role include;

• Coordination and organisation of events and appointments

• Document and systems management

• Customer service to internal and external customers

• Data entry and general administrative support

• Preparation of letters, presentations, reports and end of month statistics

• General administrative duties

• Environmental Noise Monitoring duties

Previous administration experience and sound computer skills particularly in MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook are considered essential. Highly developed teamwork and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and an eye for opportunities to continually improve are pivotal to this role. Exposure to the mining or resources field in an administrative capacity as well as a Certificate III in Office Administration will be highly regarded.
