Longwall Mechanical Coordinator

Broadmeadow is a punch Longwall underground coal mine, located 190km south west of Mackay, and the Whitsunday Coast. Broadmeadow Mine has the capacity to produce over 4 mtpa of high quality coking coal. At Broadmeadow our core value is to achieve Zero Harm and world class performance which will further enhance BMA’s competitiveness in the international coking coal market.

Broadmeadow is seeking applications from Mechanical Tradespersons for a position within the Longwall Production stream.

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate the following;

• A high standard of safe work behaviour

• Practical knowledge and experience in underground Longwall coal mining;

• Mechanical trade qualifications

• Applicants will have experience in a modern Longwall mine, with proven experience with Longwall equipment.

• Ability to participate in a multi skilled team environment

• A desire to broaden their own skills

• Willingness to take on responsibilities within a team environment;

• Use of energy and initiative to improve their working environment;

• The ability to meet deadlines

• Experience in a planning / coordination function

Contracts of employment will be as determined by the prevailing conditions of employment at Broadmeadow Mine.
