An exciting and rewarding opportunity exists for an experienced individual to become a Mining Rights Advisor providing a wide range of legal advice - focusing on Mining, Property and Environmental Law. You will be responsible for interacting with Government Departments, Land Owners and External Consultants. In Addition you will monitor developments in legislation which impact upon clients as well as identify issues of concern and exposure, draft, peruse and negotiate agreements. Success will be determined by your ability to work with other Mining, Property and Environmental law practitioners and develop a breadth of understanding of all relevant issues.
The purpose of this Role will be to provide a wide range of legal advice, focusing on Mining, Property and Environmental issues and rendering related assistance and services to BHP Billiton Energy Coal SA.
Serious Contenders will have a Primary Law Degree with 4 years experience in Mining and Property law environment of which 1 year must have been in Supervisory role. Working knowledge of relevant legislation, Legal research skills and the ability to work with strict levels of confidentiality and computer literacy is essential for further consideration.
