The company-wide 1SAP Project has been established to deliver these outcomes. It is a company-led initiative aimed at transforming BHP Billiton and the way we work. 1SAP will establish a common set of effective global processes, data and metrics supported by a single, integrated system providing the information and means to manage the business effectively in a decentralised environment. This will deliver performance transparency which will facilitate the transfer of best practice across BHP Billiton. BMA’s vision is that the 1SAP Program will transform the business through embedding common, efficient and effective core processes, data, metrics and operating discipline delivered through the single integrated 1SAP system. We are currently seeking an experienced professional to manage the 1SAP Centre of Excellence. The successful candidate will provide proactive support for the application of project management practices within the BMA 1SAP Programme including the leveraging off lessons learnt from within BMA / BHP Billiton and, in particular, other BHP Billiton 1SAP projects. Adhering to the expectations and principles outlined in the 1SAP Project Charter, you will provide guidance and advice regarding the application of project management on the BMA 1SAP Programme, including:
* Defining an appropriate level of governance for the programme;
* Contributing to the development of any necessary processes, tools and templates;
* Providing support to team members regarding the use of the methodology; and
* Capture lessons learnt for use within the programme, BMA and BHP Billiton.
Identifying specific project management requirements from BMA / CSG / BHP Billiton to be applied to the BMA 1SAP Programme, you will develop, facilitate, coordinate and support the completion of agreed deliverables as appropriate, ensuring adherence to project requirements.
With extensive project management experience in a similar capacity, the successful applicant will have demonstrated working knowledge of ERP / SAP implementation, along with proven experience in effectively communicating with various project stakeholders. Degree qualified in Engineering, Finance or Commerce, tertiary qualifications in Information Management / Project Management is highly desirable.
