This large and privately owned civil contractor is experienced in Australia and New Zealand and hold strong values in prioritising the environment during every process of the construction phase.

The civil infrastructure projects this contractor are involved with are in asphalt, laying, quarrying, land care, parks and gardens and precast concrete manufacturing.

Based our of their Melbourne corporate office, this role reports directly to the General Manager for Corporate services and is considered an integral member of the corporate services team. You will be the voice of environmental matters for this organisation and responsible for providing and delivering upon strategies that complement the company's environmental and organisational performance.

You will be responsible for such things as:

Environmental practice consistency throughout the organisation
Providing leadership and environmental expertise to all areas including executive
Eliminating Risk to the company
Ensuring the company achieve best practices across the board

To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will need to have:

Comprehensive knowledge of national and state environmental practices and regulations
The ability to lead and mentor employees at all levels
Construction experience
Ability to work with operational management
