This independent body, which is responsible for overseeing 3 of the largest revenue raising departments of NSW government, requires a project manager to manage one of their largest clients.

The Project Manager will be directly responsible for tendering all planned and project works.

You will be responsible for:

Safety:

Ensure subcontractors and service teams adhere to OH&S requirements.
Ensure allocation of work to qualified tradesperson.
Complete random site safety checklists.
Quality:

Manage the delivery of contract services for location/zone.
Manage on site stakeholders
Communication:

Provide advice to client personnel and the Contract Operations Manager on the execution of the program.
Monitor the expenditure of resources to provide a cost effective service delivery structure for the client.
Timing:

Ensure timely delivery of programmed maintenance tasks by subcontractors.
Ensure timely delivery of Project Works by Project Managers & subcontractors.
Profitability

Ensure resources match work volume and best price principals apply.
Monitor, review and report upon subcontractor performance.
Derive improvements in profit in line with Company profit growth targets.
Service Delivery:

Procure works using NSW procurement guidelines
Carry out regular audits both internally and externally to ensure systems are procedures are being adhered to.
You will receive:

c$90K base + super + Car, laptop and phone.

You will have:

Project Management experience
Project Management Diploma or Degree
Qualification trade certificate in building/construction or more than 5 years proven experience in a similar role
Qualification in Certificate IV- Residential Building would be well regarded
General OH&S induction to Building and Construction Industry
This is an exciting opportunity and has a structured career progression to a Senior Contract Operations Manager role.
