Construction Manager

Due to major project wins, our client is now looking for a Construction Manager to be based in Sydney to lead major infrastructure projects.

As Construction Manager your major accountabilities will be as follows:

Manage and maintain budget specific KPI's for the region and project based work
Ensure Project Managers are carrying out their duties for on-cost and time completion of projects
Preparation of tenders and contract management of future infrastructure business
Carry out recruitment, training (if necessary), performance review and OHSE compliance with all team members
Liaise with suppliers and third party resources as necessary and develop relevant supply chains

As this is a hands-on management position, engineers with a solid understanding of design for constructability would suit this role perfectly. Candidates must also possess the following:

A minimum of 10 years experience with construction management along with an understanding of construction methodology
Degree qualifications in an appropriate engineering discipline
Excellent English communication skills with the ability to present to all organisational levels
Previous Australia experience with an understanding of local design/construction methods and standards
