THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by an international oil operating company to provide a Contracts Manager to be based in Cairo. One year contract (renewable). Ability to travel internationally, sometimes for extended periods, Egyptian taxes paid by Client. Terms, conditions and benefits to be discussed and agreed.
THE PERSON
Prepare and execute project Contract Strategy, ITT packages eg Offshore EPIC, Long Lead procurement items. Manage procurement process from bid to award including evaluations, approvals, final negotiation / preparation of final contract documents. Post contract administration. Management of variations and claims. Provision of input for monthly and other project reporting / contract advice to PMT members / Coaching / mentoring for PMT members. Technical professional with experience in the oil and gas or petro-chemical industry. Proven record in the provision of contract management services for world-wide projects for a major oil and gas operator. Able to demonstrate a good knowledge of business awareness, key project performance drivers and of financial and commercial aspects of project delivery. Familiar with contemporary IT systems and software. Familiar with the concept, scope and requirements of project assurance methodologies (stage gate systems and processes).
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Degree or equivalent. Associate of the RICS or equivalent preferred. Background in Contract Administration / Contract Management (QS background preferred). Good team player with a pro-active and flexible attitude, and able to work in a challenging overseas environment, with minimal supervision. Fluent written and spoken English.
