Reporting to the Mobile Superintendent, you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of a proactive maintenance program for the Light / Medium Mobile fleet. With effective utilization of labour and an aim to achieve maximum fleet availability at minimum cost, you will give full consideration to health, safety, environment and community standards, production requirements and departmental objectives.
Relevant skills and abilities:
* A Mechanical Trade background with strong technical knowledge of mobile equipment and thorough working knowledge of current maintenance practices and strategies
* Effective leadership skills
* Relevant experience and be highly motivated in setting and monitoring goals, establishing strategies and priorities for major change and communicating company objectives
* A proven record in cost control and budget management
* Experience with software packages including Microsoft Office, Project, Excel & GSAP
* Distribute & communicate maintenance schedules
* Minimise breakdown maintenance & planning repairs
* Preparation of Mobile maintenance budget and forecast costs
* Maintaining GSAP data to be accurate and up to date
* Troubleshooting, diagnostics and root cause analysis of mechanical and process failures
* Liaising with suppliers regarding off-site component repairs & parts supply
* Providing technical advice for the procurement of Mobile Equipment
* Well developed written and verbal communication skills
You will have proven experience with preventative & breakdown maintenance programs along with a sound knowledge of modern maintenance practices and proactive planning strategies.
