We currently have a requirement for an experienced General Manager (SSE) for a Greenfield project that will be based in the Bowen Basin within close proximity to Moranbah. Initially based in Brisbane during the project phase of the operation, the successful candidate will ultimately have the opportunity to undertake a commute arrangement.
As General Manager you will effectively build and manage your team to maximise stakeholder value whilst promoting continuous improvement in zero harm, leadership, production & costs.
Through your attitude and actions, you will demonstrate consistent, visible, and proactive leadership and commitment towards:-
• Continued development of a culture that promotes the Corporate Charter
• Identifying opportunities within business planning to include HSEC, employee and community relations, unit costs and production considerations that drive continuous improvement in performance
• Ensuring all short and long term business goals are met
• Ensuring compliance with the mine's Safety & Health, and Environmental management systems and Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and Regulations
• Mentoring, coaching and motivating direct reports to enable them to develop within their role and increase their professional expertise.
To be successful in this role you will have appropriate tertiary qualifications, Mine Management qualifications, extensive experience in open cut operations, and a strong understanding of key business and industry success drivers.
