General Manager with major electrical contracting experience wanted by this rapidly expanding company to lead and manage the NSW operations

This an opportunity to join a long established Australian electrical contracting company servicing the government sector, large corporations and the construction industry. They place strong emphasis on delivering outstanding customer service and quality workmanship. Their ability to secure long term relationships with their clients has positioned them to appoint a confident, business-minded and articulate person to this senior executive role in the company.

You will be responsible for the operations of the NSW electrical division, working with the General Manager to develop and achieve the set objectives. You will be required to maintain a full understanding of current projects and monitor and review the utilization of staff, equipment and resources to achieve maximum operational efficiency and profitability.
Your role is seen as a stepping stone to a General Management. You must be capable of project managing multi-million dollar projects, leading a large number of staff and contractors, and taking primary responsibility for technology related installations such as industrial contracting, data centers, substations, and large communication networks You will be an experienced business developer with a successful background in managing a number of complex projects in technology related areas. You will have tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or Trades area, and will have demonstrable experience and success in the electrical contracting field. You will have a strong business acumen, a flair for and genuine like for sales and business development, an intimate knowledge and contacts in commercial building construction, and are prepared to work for that next step in your career.
