Our most recent growth project, Rapid Growth Project 5, will take installed capacity at our Western Australian Iron Ore operations to 205mpta by the second half of calendar year 2011.
Position Synopsis
Reporting to the Manager of Asset Reliability, the Principal Advisor of Lubrication Practices will be accountable for the development, improvement, implementation and governance of all activities related to the management and application of lubricants and fuels in WAIO.
Key responsibilities include:
* Elimination of contamination within lubrication, fuel and hydraulic compartments;
* Develop, implement and maintain standards and procedures for fuel and lubricant management;
* Develop and implement skills matrix for improving competence of lubrication practitioners;
* Lead and direct the WAIO clean lubricants and fuels steering committee;
* Develop, implement and maintain best practice condition-based maintenance tactics and practices based on hydrocarbon condition;
* Develop a system to track and report value added with lubrication and fuel improvement projects;
* Develop best practice monitoring and reporting systems to feed into Work Management process;
* Develop and implement the process to track and quantify the business benefit of lubrication practices across WAIO.
Skills and Experience
You will have extensive understanding and experience of implementation of lubrication improvement in heavy industry, including the understanding of lubricants and their application, sampling and analysis procedures and tribology. This experience will preferably be supported by a tertiary technical qualification or NORIA qualification.
Your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills will enable you to build relationships and influence others at all levels of the organisation. You will also have strong project management skills and have the ability to develop training material and train others.
