Worsley Alumina is the joint venture operation of BHP Billiton, Japan Alumina Associates and Sojitz Alumina. Reporting to the Electrical Maintenance Superintendent the E/I Coordinator develops, improves and sets plant maintenance standards and provides technical direction. You will be responsible for improving the overall equipment care process: flow paths, connections and activities along with ensuring people understand and self test against standards and escalate problems. Working across the organisation there will be a clear focus on ensuring that Electrical work is co-ordinated between planning, operations and the execution teams on time and within budget.
In addition this position has a strong Business Improvement focus and is accountable for implementing and delivering improvement projects “on time” which directly contribute to measurable cost savings, improvements to equipment reliability, safety and environmental performance.
The Electrical/Instrument Coordinator will;
* Be the custodian of electrical equipment and systems in the area whilst ensuring overall reliability and integrity for electrical plant.
* Have a industry experience in both electrical and instrumentation.
* Be the area electrical interface for project work in the area and ensure timely communication of project design intent to the Area
* Actively involve workgroups and key stakeholders in electrical and instrumentation projects and report information in a suitable format for dissemination
* Ensure that potential safety problems are considered on new installations as well as on existing installations and operating procedures are within the required safety guidelines
* Be the custodian of the systems for ensuring statutory compliance is maintained on all area electrical equipment and hold a WA Electrical Licence.
