Barrick Africa is currently searching for an experienced Process Manager. This position is required to provide leadership to the Buzwagi Process Plant Team. This position reports to the General Manager.

Responsibilities:

¨ Provide leadership to ensure that employees and contractors adhere to safety and environmental standards that exceed worldwide industry practice and any applicable legislative requirements.

¨ Manage the Buzwagi Process Plant to ensure agreed targets are achieved, within corporate safety and environmental guidelines in the areas of:

- Financial: Capital Cost, Profits, Cash Flow and Balance Sheet Review;

- Mill Availability, Throughput and Recovery; and

- Process Operating & Maintenance Costs and Capital Expenditure.

¨ Manage activities of the Process Department to assure cost effective and high quality metal recovery activities and to optimize Company’s financial status and net smelter return. Reliable operation and maintenance of the Process Plant, to ensure optimum metallurgical efficiency are considered as Key Performance Indicators.

¨ Ensure Metallurgical Reconciliation procedures comply with Sarbanes Oxley Act and Barrick Standards for Metallurgical Accounting. Collaborate with Mine and Geology Departments to ensure accurate overall Mine to Mill Reconciliation.

¨ Budgeting, forecasting and Life of Mine planning.

¨ Co-ordinate concentrate and doré shipments & commercial settlements.

¨ Manage all issues relating to grid power supply to Buzwagi site. Responsible for site power infrastructure.

¨ Manage Succession Planning within the Process Department to ensure that PML achieves development of Tanzanian employees to assume positions of increasing accountability.

¨ Create a working environment which ensures Process Department employees gain new skills and achieve their full potential by the development of effective training and mentoring programs.

¨ Responsible for managing Site Laboratory Contractor.

¨ In conjunction with the Security Manager, manage all aspects of Process Plant security to prevent and eliminate theft and fraud.

¨ Assure alignment between Process Plant activities and other Departments at Buzwagi.

¨ Actively collaborate with the Buzwagi senior management team to ensure that targets for resource exploitation, budget KPI’s, capital management, cost control, safety performance, employee development, environmental management and corporate governance are achieved.

¨ Continually review every aspect of the Process Plant & Infrastructure to ensure that opportunities to add value and enhance shareholder wealth are identified and implemented.

¨ Facilitate creation of a workplace climate that ensures minimum disruption to work due to industrial relations issues.

¨ Actively participate in appropriate industry committees, government working parties and community groups to ensure that Buzwagi interests are represented and protected.

¨ It is possible this position will relieve in position of Acting General Manager when required during the General Manager’s absence.

Qualifications & Experience:

Qualification:

o Chemical or Metallurgical Engineering, BSc. Metallurgical Science or similar.

Requirements:

o Minimum of 15 years progressive experience in a variety of process operations including development and expansion. Experience with gravity recovery, base metals flotation, CIL, gold reconciliation and plant maintenance, with at least 5 years in a managerial role, is essential.

o Demonstrated skills with capital justification, budget development, expenditure and controls.

o Experience with operations and project development in a developing country environment.

o Awareness of culture, business environment and infrastructures issues.

o Experience in systematic coaching and training of employees in developing country.
