Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and control the Maintenance Department (offshore) so as to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all plant and machinery, including machinery related to the Marine and Catering Departments, and emergency equipment.
Ensure the Permit to Work (PTW) system is adhered to and that all isolations are in compliance with the COMPANY Isolation Philosophy.
Principle Functions of the Position:
Technical responsibility for all mechanical and electrical systems, with the exception of the high voltage production and distribution systems, which are the responsibility of the Responsible Person Electrical (RPE).
Manage, administer and control the installation Computerized Planned Maintenance System (MMS), ensuring:
Tasks are allocated to the various responsible staff;
Plant and equipment is maintained to the highest appropriate standards;
Test and inspection routines required by the Planned Maintenance system are completed;
The FPSO class is maintained;
All inputs and changes of routines to the MMS are made in accordance with change control procedures.
Maximize the ability of plant and equipment and optimize control of spares.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Safety Critical Functions
Manage the maintenance and records of safety critical elements, and ensure performance standards required by the Verification scheme with respect to plant and machinery are met.
Provide the OIM with advice and information in an emergency and assist in the coordination of emergency response.
Take responsibility for Departmental Safety Critical Operations e.g. bunkering fuel oil:
Area Authority for Permit to Work
Mandatory testing of ESD equipment.
Experience Factors
Minimum 10 years offshore experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory / management position.
Previous experience with responsibility for maintenance of hydrocarbon process and marine plant and equipment.
Previous FPSO experience.
For degree qualified (Engineering discipline), 3 years offshore experience is required.
