For our four wholly owned FIFO Gold Mines in WA we are seeking Expressions of interest of experienced Process Operators for future opportunities!

Within the Yilgarn Operations Barrick operates four wholly owned Gold Mines in the North Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia producing approx. 500,000-600,000 oz of gold each year.

Reporting to the Processing Superintendent, you will be responsible for assisting in continuous operation of the Processing Plant by monitoring and operating the process equipment in a designated area as directed by the Shift Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
Continually check all control conditions are set and production levels are maintained according to instructions and complete operator log sheets
Carry out inspection of tailing and water lines according to procedures
Respond to Shift Supervisor’s instructions as to variations and modifications to operating settings and parameters
Ensure reagents are mixed and added to the process as directed by Shift Supervisor
Report any abnormal sample readings or plant function to Shift Supervisor
Monitor dust and air quality at designated intervals
Carry out maintenance tasks and housekeeping as per schedule
Replenish reagents and consumables to ensure area is sufficiently stocked for designated lead time
Requirements:
Experience as a production operator in a minerals processing plant, including knowledge of SAG milling, thickeners, mills, conveyors, jaw crushers, cyclones and all types of pumps
Demonstrated application of safe working procedures and inspection techniques
Knowledge of process control systems
Ability to communicate effectively across all levels
Ability to work unsupervised
Able to work as part of a team and foster team building
Work with attention to detail
Work safely and not create or ignore hazards
