We are looking for a highly motivated Underground Manager with the initiative and drive to lead this operation through its development phases. As the Underground Manager the principal function of the role is operational support to the underground mine by ensuring that the Mining team meet production targets on time and in budget while adhering to safety guidelines.
The specific duties will include:
Manage planning (Short term through to Long term), design and scheduling of ongoing production activities
Oversee daily Production Activities and ensure that targets are met
Reports, budgets, and forecasts
Supervise the Operational Team
Mentor and develop the youngsters who have chosen mine engineering as a career
This role will suit an experienced engineer who has held the role as an UGM for a few years. As such to be considered for this position you will have a Bachelor of Engineering in mining, a proven background in the mining industry (minimum of 12 -15 years relevant experience). You will also possess a First Class Mine Manager’s ticket and exhibit exemplary personal skills such as the ability to lead people, build teams, good communication skills and the capability to generate improvement ideas across the site.
