A Design Manager is sought by a leading global design consultancy in Melbourne. You will have a proven design management experience on civil/ rail infrastructure projects of over $50 million.

At present our client has a number of live projects across Victoria, with an emphasis in the Melbourne Area. You will have experience on infrastructure construction projects of $50 million plus in Australia. The Design Manager is a key role, requiring a candidate with a proven history of the Australian infrastructure market. Previous experience with a leading design consultancy is essential.

The Design Manager duties will consist of the following duties:

* Design Management of Civil/ Rail Infrastructure projects
* Tender Management
* Alliance Partnering Agreements
* Execution strategies
* Ability to build, manage and mentor teams
* Liaise with consultancies
* Manage and implement design changes

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Design Manager to join an established contractor with the opportunity of further career advancement and ongoing development. A civil engineering degree with a minimum of 10 years design management experience in infrastructure is essential. Proven knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements is essential. Only candidates with eligibility to work in Australia will be considered for this role.
