QUALITY ENGINEER / SYSTEMS MANAGER

Are you looking to make the next step from Quality Engineer to Systems Manager?

This mid tier civil contractors provides complex infrastructure solutions across Australia. With offices in Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane and Canberra they have a very strong portfolio of past and future projects.

They are currently looking to make a strategic appointment for a Systems Manager / Quality Engineer to be responsible for implementation of the Management System in accordance with ISO9001:2000 and relevant government authorities. The Systems Manager is the Company's designated 'Management Representative' (ISO9001 5.5.2) for quality, OHS and environmental management.

As the Systems Manager you will be responsible for:

* Overall control of QA, OHS & Environmental Management System Documentation.
* Auditing and reviewing the operation of the Management System, including developing improvements and correcting defects or shortcomings as appropriate.
* Review and audit as required of subcontractors' quality, OHS&R and environmental managements systems.
* Reporting on the operation and effectiveness of the Management System to the Director and, as required, to the Client.


To be considered for this role you must have an engineering degree (ideally civil/structural) and have a solid IT background with extensive experience in systems. You should have experience working for a similar organization within the civil, process or mining infrastructure.
