Our client is seeking an Operations Manager for a greenfield gold project in Ghana. The open cut operation will process 2 million tpa through a CIL plant. The person sought will be intimately involved with the project construction, manning, training, commissioning then operation of this new project, located on the coast of Ghana. This operation will have a small expatriate group and be largely manned with national staff. Mining will be by contract miners. African experience is sought and those with West African experience would be well regarded. Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate a track record of effective management at General Manager level and those with both project construction and operational management experience would be well regarded.
