We are looking for a Manager, Molybdenum Oxide Sales for our corporate office in Vancouver, British Columbia or Toronto, Ontario. The Manager, Molybdenum Oxide Sales is responsible for the development and implementation of the sales strategy and plans for the Molybdenum Oxide from our operations in Chile (Sierra Gorda). Working closely with other members of the Marketing and Commercialteam the Manager, Molybdenum Oxide Sales will employ superior project management skills to lead various initiatives. Marketing and commercial input to other business areas, especially business development, is also required.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Assist Director of Marketing with molybdenum oxide sales. 2. Manage global agents for molybdenum. 3. Perform regular industry, market, consumer, and competitor and profitability analysis and revise strategy and plans accordingly. 4. Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to retain business and promote revenue growth opportunities. 5. Build and maintain strong relationships with key site personnel. 6. Manage Molybdenum oxide inventory. 7. Monitor delivery performance against contractual commitments and take appropriate action. 8. Support actively the development of the logistics to maximize the competitiveness of the company. 9. Track delivery of product to client site; ensure accuracy of order and timely delivery. 10. Travel – visiting customers, attending industry events (20%-25% of time). 11. Other duties may be assigned as required. QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED − Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial / marketing area in ferrous metals, experience with molybdenum is an asset. − Completion of a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience, in Commerce, Business, Marketing or Logistics. − Ability to understand and analyze commercial contracts and proposals for molybdenum oxide and ferro-molybdenum. − Understanding of logistics chain from producer to market (truck/rail freight industry, ocean freight). − Established relationships with key industry (molybdenum, logistics and steel industries) personnel are an asset. − Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills, including the ability to negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers. − Ability to plan, organize and manage large and complex projects. − Ability to analyze current trends, identify gaps, issues and problems and develop reasonable solutions and strategies to adapt programs and plans as necessary. − Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills. − Ability to work both independently and in team environments. − Knowledge of basic office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Email) − Internet research capabilities. − Experience in logistics management is an asset.
