This company is one of Australia’s largest ASX listed gold producers, boasting multiple sites across Western Australia. Operating on an 8/6 roster FIFO from Perth, the company has a sound work-life balance for its employees.
 
In this role you will be required to manage a small team of mining engineers and other contractors, review mine designs and schedules before implementation, mentor and train junior engineers, and ensure that all operational targets are met. Your role will include budgeting and forecasting, maximising production and rostering crews. An integral part of your role is to conduct risk assessments of the site. On a daily basis you will liaise with the mining team, the mine manager, and other contractors on site to ensure strategic goals are on track.
 
The successful candidate for this role will have a Degree in Mining Engineering, have proven experience in working in an underground environment in the past, and will have a Western Australian First Class Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency. You will need to have experience using mine specific software such as Surpac, EPS, and Mine 24D.
