SITE BRIDGE SUPERINTENDENT

ONE OF WA'S LARGEST IRON ORE PROJECTS SITE BASED CONTRACT ROLE LONG TERM POSITION- START ASAP
Our client is managing the EPCM functions of a large scale long term joint venture mining project.

They are currently in need of a Bridge Superintendent who will be required to orchestrate the processes involved in the construction and installation of various structures under the direction of the Area Manager. This includes supervision, planning, quality control and providing expertise in construction management.

More specifically, your duties will include:

Monitoring and evaluating the work of contractors and staff to ensure that the project requirements are being met and that corrective measures are undertaken if requiredProgress reporting to the Area Manager on a weekly basisKeeping all documentation regarding the work is kept up to date Identifying problems with the delivery dates for equipment and advise if dates may be unsuitable depending on the stage of the workEnsuring that all drawings and specifications being utilised are the most current and up-to-dateResolving any problems that may ariseIdentifying resources and manpower requirements in order to ensure that the project is completed within the projected time and budgetary constraintsAssisting with the inspection of equipment and materials supplied and apply the necessary corrective actions In order to be considered for this role, you will need to have:

At least 10 years experience in a similar role within an EPCM environmentDemonstrable experience in a supervisory roleA sound understanding of bridge construction and concrete workThe ability to implement cost control measures Strong attention to detailThe ability to manage a team of contractors and staff, as well as providing training, conflict resolution and recognition for high performers
