Our client is one the leading steel companies in Australia supplying steel products sold in these markets. The company's products play a big part in people's everyday lives, being vital components in housing, landmark buildings, structures and vital infrastructure.

In addition the company also provides quality barrier systems to the Civil Engineering, Mining and Building Industries.

An exciting opportunity currently exists for a Sales Engineer to join the team. Under the direction of the General Manager you will be responsible for resource management and driving sales revenue throughout NSW.
OBJECTIVE
To develop an effective marketing and sales plan specific to NSW operations.Build and maintain close working relationships with Local Government Authorities, Road Authorities, Contractors and Installers.Supervision of stock requirements.Ensure budgets are met with respect to sales and contribution, quality control and delivery performance.RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for the overall administration of the NSW region.Promoting, marketing and sales of the entire product range throughout this territory.To maintain and develop the existing client base as well as new business development.To obtain orders from customer enquiries via telephone, fax, email and customer calling.Order and delivery processing to customer requirements.Liaising with the logistics team to ensure jobs are completed as per request and resolution of any issues that may arise.Monitor market activities and report to senior management as appropriate with respect to competitor or product issues including pricing strategies.Maintain stock levels and records for review and consolidation.To review and report on sales performance against targets on a monthly basis.SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
A technical qualification in a civil engineering discipline achieved at either a University or Tafe level will be highly regarded.Sales experience within the steel industry or the road building markets.Computer literate.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Good negotiation abilities and an entrepreneurial spirit. High levels of energy and motivation.The successful candidate for this position can expect a highly competitive base salary of between $55K and $65K plus Super. A Company Car can be negotiated for the right applicant. In addition you can expect stability and long term career progression, ongoing training and personal development.
