About the Job
Based on a belief that Drill and Blast often isn't given the attention is deserves, a specialist D&B division has been formed....
More often than not people don't stay in D&B for long, making true Experts hard to find. You will report to one such character, a top 3 global expert in his field, secured as the technical manager for the team.
Complementing to your own experience in blast design optimisation, grade control and fragmentation measurement, this manager can coach you in:
Mine-to-Mill process integration and optimisation,
Crushing/grinding circuit modelling, and the art of consulting - working with clients- senior management, technical and production staff, to create the optimal solution and add further value to existing hard rock clients
For someone wanting to stay at the cutting edge of blasting technology, without moving into research, or joining an explosives company, that sort of exposure makes this is a totally unique opportunity.
60% of current clients are overseas - travel to North America, South Africa, India, Russia and around the EU
Max of 1:4 weeks away and 37.5hr weeks when you are in Brisbane
D&B team will build to 5 over the next 24 months, complimenting existing divisions in the larger organisation
Degree qualified Mining Engineers with 4-7 years experience (open pit metals), passion for D&B technology and competent with blasting and planning softwares.
