Mechanical Engineer - Supplier/Medical Device/Quality

IMMEDIATE OPPORTUNITY in Northern Los Angeles CA for a Mechanical and a Quality Engineer to work with a Worldwide Manufacturer of Medical Equipment. These are contract positions.

Responsibilities:

-> Establish and successfully execute our supplier management and development plans which will align to overall business objectives
-> Communication of Clients expectations for continuous improvements and providing leadership for improving the supplier relationship through supplier improvement conference calls, and supplier partnership meetings and effectively provide feedback and work w
-> Develops product and process improvements
-> Perform thorough supplier audits and assessments of their processes and QMS and drives improvement
-> Improve the cost of quality of parts, processes and products
-> Assist in performing Failure Analysis and inspection techniques on supplier materials

Requirements:

-> Graduate Degree in Engineering Required Quality or Reliability Certification for Quality Engineer Preferred Emphasis in Engineering Materials A DEFINITE PLUS
-> FIVE YEARS MINIMUM Strong work Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing Industry
-> Create Material Inspection Instructions to support Receiving Inspection and align the inspections methods between suppliers and company
-> Demonstrated knowledge of national and international requirements and standards such as FDA QSR Part 820, ISO 14971, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, CMDCAS/CMDR and others

Questions you will be asked:

• Do you have a GRADUATE Degree In Engineering, preferably Mechanical with Quality Control or Reliability Certification. Any Additional education or certification. Black Belt is a Definite Plus.

• Describe your experience and knowledge of national and international requirements and standards such as FDA QSR Part 820, ISO 14971, ISO 13485, ISO 9001, CMDCAS-CMDR and others. Required Describe.

• Describe your experience with performing thorough supplier audits and assessments of their processes and QMS and drives improvement. When and Where Describe - REQUIRED

• Do you have experience with leading and executing Supplier Quality programs, and supporting other cross functional departments to meet their objectives in acquiring highest quality materials and systems (parts, sub-systems, final assembly, outsourced products, audits, etc.) from suppliers that meet the material requirements. Required Describe.
