THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by a leading oil & gas energy company to provide an Offshore HSE Engineer. Job may require occasional travel to other locations. Contract duration 1 year (renewable). 28/28 rotation. Excellent rates.
THE PERSON
At least 7 years experience in the oil and gas industry with considerable onshore / offshore experience. Design and operation of high H2S content facilities with stringent requirements in terms of HSE experience. A previous similar company role, especially in interfacing with major Contractor would be an advantage. Provide HSE support, lead and coordinate effective / efficient management of HSE Team providing quality / timely advice to Offshore Construction HSE Coordinator with all current and future activities.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Higher education Diploma (University, NEBOSH or equivalent) in Health and Safety Management, preferably with an engineering background and recognised membership of professional bodies. Good knowledge and understanding of international HSE codes and standards, local rules and regulations. Good knowledge of HSE information systems and ability to establish / maintain. Good abilities to read, write, understand and explain documentation, share information with others and train and develop the national staff. Very good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to create friendly working environment. Conversant with basic computer applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc). Fluent English. Russian or Kazakh language skills an advantage.
