A major operator is seeking a Safety Systems Engineer for one of their projects.
The appropriate candidate should have previous experience working for a major oil & gas operator.
Responsibilities include: The Safety Systems Engineer will provide support and leadership for the provision of all Safety Engineering related activities ensuring that the facilities are designed in accordance with standards. This is an Engineering role requiring extensive experience of offshore safety systems and equipment requiring specifying and locating systems throughout the installation. This will include but not be limited to selection and implementation and location of passive and active fire protection systems, fire and gas detection systems, safety equipment, evacuation systems and equipment, safety signage, safety access, life support systems, environmental systems including noise and emissions and the communication and control of such equipment and devices. Although an Engineering function this position will take guidance from the HES advisor and is responsible for ensuring that all safety systems and equipment meet the requirements of the Safety Case including provision of input and advice into the formal submission and approvals process.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATION: ***Candidate MUST be willing to relocate from Houston, TX to Korea and then to Nigeria.
