Our client, a leading EPC Power Company is currently entering into the commissioning phase of various Power Plant Projects throughout Europe (France, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Poland & Bulgaria) and UAE. Due to this high workload they are looking for additional commissioning engineers to strengthen their site teams. They are doing full EPC business and are therefore fully responsible for all commissioning activities. Their commissioning team at site is represented by four disciplines: Electrical, Controls (I&C), Water Steam Cycle (WSC) and Gas Turbines.
They are currently seeking for Fujairah, Combined Cycle (2 x 2GT to 1ST and 1 x 1GT to 1ST)
Commissioning Engineers – Balance of Plant with responsibility of all auxiliary systems such as main cooling water, water supply, fuel gas/oil supply, control and power air system.
Commissioning Engineers - Heat Recovery Steam Generation with responsibility of all systems and sub systems of the HRSG incl. Drums, blow down system, drains
Candidates should be experienced commissioning engineers with hands-on experience out in the field for cold commissioning tasks as well as with detailed system and process knowledge necessary for the hot commissioning.
The commissioning starts with the hand over from erection, when the installation of the equipment, hydrostatic tests and system cleaning and flushing, loop checks (cabling point to point) and Electrical insulation tests are already done.
Cold commissioning tasks:
Verify installation according P&ID
Signal check from field to DCS
Function check of equipment (rotation check,…)
Adjustment of equipment (switches, valves, transmitters,…)
Protection checks
Initial start-up of system and operation checks
Hot commissioning tasks:
Steam dumping or Steam blow
1st steam by-pass operation
Run-up of Steam Turbine
Base load adjustments
Plant / equipment transient testing (start-up, shut down, load variations)
Dynamic testing (load rejections, equipment trips, stand-by equipment,…)
Performance Test
Reliability Run
Candidates should have experience won in combined cycle power plants or steam power plants. For BOP oil and gas industry experience is welcome as well. Contract hire daily rates for durations of 2-8 months.
