Hobet Mining LLC located in Boone County WV is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Permit/Environmental Engineer. This position will provide a competitive salary in addition to a comprehensive benefits package with no medical premiums. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for obtaining mining permits and ensuring overall environmental compliance. The following qualifications are desired:
- BS in Mining, Civil or other Engineering discipline required
- RPE or EIT strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of current mining-related environmental regulations
- Experience in mine permitting, including Article 3, NPDES, CWA 401 & CWA 404
- Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets, word processing, AutoCad/SurvCadd
- At least 2 years�?? experience in an engineering-related position
- Surface mine experience in dragline, truck/shovel and endloader/truck operations is a plus
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and project management is a plus
