Our client headquartered in Brisbane is seeking to employ a suitably qualified candidate to join their engineering team in Brisbane as their Chief Mechanical Engineer.

As the company’s chief mechanical design engineer, you will lead and manage a small engineering team overseeing all equipment, piping and pressure vessel design, plant layout, material selection, rotating equipment specification and model development. An accomplished engineering manager you will remain technically involved in all aspects of mechanical engineering including contractor and consultant management, specification and vendor package preparation, as well as leading innovation in commercial concept design.


Essential / Desirable Criteria

* Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
* Experience in the oil and gas sector mandatory
* Experience in the mining and minerals industry highly regarded
* Experience in 3D modelling highly regarded
* Detail design background critical
* Must be able to setup and manage a small team
