Specialist Project & Operational Procurement

Our client is a world leader of copper concentrate and is a significant contributor to the Papua New Guinea economy. This new position has been created to engage the services of a motivated and experienced project procurement professional to apply strategic commercial direction to all capital and project related procurement functions. It will be a challenging role requiring enthusiasm, commitment to a zero harm safety culture and a proactive approach to addressing complex organisational challenges.

The ideal candidate will possess:

* Bachelors Degree or higher in an Engineering, Commerce or Business related discipline
* 5-10 years operational experience in a project procurement and operational sourcing role for a large scale mining or contracting organisation
* Experience with ERP supply systems (Ellipse preferred)
* Advanced contract analysis and negotiation skills for EPCM contracts
