THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by an international oil and gas operating company to provide a Subsea Planner to be based in Houston with future move in 2Q 2010 to Ghana. Must be willing to travel as required by Client. Remuneration negotiable, contract duration one year. Client would prefer candidates residing in the Houston area. Very good long term prospects. This vacancy is being handled by our Houston office.
THE PERSON
Minimum 15 years of FPSO commissioning scheduling experience is required. Wide experience of all phases of a project (exploration, appraisal, development, operations). Familiar with schedule / cost risk analysis. Experience on how to action issues early in a project. Have sufficient knowledge to identify potential bottlenecks / mitigation measures and have the skills to prepare succinct analysis for management information. Ability to elicit key issues / inform management on direction / action required; Prepare / present internal / external presentations. Self motivated / able to work without supervision. Ability to engage / motivate Project Team.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
A relevant degree, equivalent combinations of training and / or related experience will be considered. Sound knowledge of computer scheduling programs (i.e., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project). Broad knowledge of subsea operations, regulatory requirements and midstream operations is beneficial. PMP certification is desired. Must have excellent verbal / written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills. Fluent written and spoken English. Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the USA.
