Our Cardinal River Operations has a current opening for a: Process Foreman
Reporting to the Processing General Foreman, the Process Foreman is responsible for meeting production and quality goals on a shift to shift basis through the safe and efficient operation of the raw coal handling, plant, dryer, and rail loadout facility. The following outlines the current major responsibilities associated with this position. Other responsibilities will be assigned as deemed necessary by the company.
Major Responsibilities
• Process raw coal to meet established specifications through the efficient supervision and coordination of a team of employees who perform control room, dryer, coarse coal processing, fine coal processing, rail loadout and support functions.
• Develop and maintain a safe working environment by applying the Teck H&S
program, instructing/training personnel in accident prevention and reporting, and addressing issues raised in the monthly crew meetings.
• Maintain an environmentally sound processing procedure by adhering to established company environmental policy and by encouraging commitment to a healthy environment by all crew members.
• Reduce operating costs by optimizing the use of materials and equipment, and providing operations feedback to engineering and immediate supervisor.
• Liaise with the process engineer by applying engineered input for implementation and audit of process functions.
Experience and knowledge in coal processing, familiarity with coal plant equipment and/or previous leadhand experience would be considered an asset.
