THE ROLE
CCL has been requested by an international oil and gas super-major company to provide a Junior Planner. Client prefers candidates who are US citizen or residents and live in and around the Houston area. This is a one year contract with possibility of extension. Rates are negotiable. This vacancy is being handled by our Houston office.
THE PERSON
Candidate should have previous experience in the Oil and Gas industry. The primary function of this position is coordination / collection of data from all necessary departments and parties for development of a computerized critical path network for assigned projects as well as assisting Project Managers in project planning and contract administration. Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following: Use approved scheduling software to develop critical path network. Update and report progress on critical path networks as required by Project Manager or by the project contract. Track progress of engineering, procurement and fabrication activities on various projects. Assist Project Managers with contract administration as required.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor degree in an engineering discipline with 2 years Engineering Project Controls experience, or a Bachelor degree in Business Administration with 4 years as a professional Planner. Advanced Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Primavera and ample computer skills. Must have excellent written, interpersonal and communication skills. Fluent written and spoken English. Must be eligible to reside and work in the USA.
