POSITION DESCRIPTION: An Engineer skilled in the dynamic vibration discipline to work in a complex oil refinery dealing with all types of rotating equipment. The responsibilities of this position are: Mentor effectively Saudi technicians and engineers to be professional in vibration measurement, analysis and troubleshooting. This will be done by setting a two year plan with a monthly follow up. Evaluate the existing vibration monitoring program in RRD, and initiate an action plan for future improvement. Assist the vibration technicians with day to day troubleshooting. Assisting the compressor engineers with monitoring the refinery critical compressors equipped with on line monitoring, and issuing a monthly report showing the compressor dynamic condition, through principally Bentley system 1 and SKF data collection. Perform reliability studies and benchmarking for rotating equipment. Study and evaluate the feasibility of installing vibration continuous monitoring on some critical equipment, and evaluating future requirements for ensuring nuisance trip avoidance. To lead a group of 4 vibration technicians and insure the quality of their work. To make a routine evaluation for the vibration technicians and engineer in order to evaluate their progress. Initiate in our corporate SAP system a predictive maintenance based approach.
SELECTION CRITERIA: The applicant should hold at least a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering with minimum 10 years of experience in the field of rotating equipment. Candidate should have worked at least 8 years in the field of vibration, dynamic analysis, and predictive maintenance. The applicant should be fluent in English presentation. Should be familiar with windows applications as well as other common software. Candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills. The applicant who is a certified professional in the machinery and asset vibration specialty is preferred.
COMMENTS: Riyadh Refinery is a hydrocarbon producing facility based in Riyadh the capital of KSA. It is one of five Saudi Aramco refineries within the Kingdom. Riyadh refinery produces gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, asphalt, naptha, hydrogen, utilities for the domestic central region of KSA through production plants arranged in a complex format utilizing Hydrogen, nitrogen, amine, diesel hydrotreater, platformer, hydrocracker, crude and stabilization plants. The candidate will join a progressive, enthusiastic Refinery Department which is aggressively pursuing production Key Performance Indicators. Accurate, reliable equipment vibration analysis will reduce maintenance expenditure and provide a solid base for predictive maintenance. The candidate will be part of this vibrant team striving to achieve professional satisfaction with the resultant increased plant margin contribution. The candidate will be expected also to conduct in house training to further the vibration technicians and Reliability Engineers familiarity with specific data collection through the DLX 2500 collection data logger using traducer packs and showing the corrective translations for high and low frequency indicators. Accelerometers. Analysis techniques should include: internal geometry, frequency calculations, applied harmonics familiarity with bearing failures, transducer selection, data collection, processing the data and diagnosing the problem.
