Leinster Nickel Operation is located 645 kilometres north-east of Perth in Western Australia.
The operation sources nickel ore from the Perseverance Underground Mine and the newly commissioned Cliffs Underground Mine before crushing and processing to produce a concentrate. You will become an integral part of the mobile maintenance team at Leinster and have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of equipment in our well equipped underground workshop.

Think Purpose
Reporting to the Underground Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, the Heavy Duty Diesel Technician is responsible for preventative and breakdown maintenance of all underground mobile equipment within mobile maintenance, working with the highest priority to safety at all times, striving to complete work within agreed timeframes and in doing so, supporting the Leinster Nickel Operation by being industry leaders in maintenance.
Think Requirements
The successful applicant will be suitably experienced and must have a working knowledge of underground mobile equipment technology issues and maintenance techniques.
Trade qualified, you will have sound knowledge of safe work practices and experience in underground mining or heavy industry environments.
Experience with a wide range of equipment, including EWP’s, Forklifts, Overhead Cranes and Electronic Diagnostic Tools will be required. The ability to be able to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical circuit flow diagrams will be a requirement of this role. An intermediate level of computer literacy will be highly regarded.
You will be a self starter and have the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
A current Australian Drivers Licence and Police Clearance are essential, with a Senior First Aid Certificate being ideal.
