Planning Officer
Khutala Colliery, Witbank

As the Planning Officer you will assist with the compilation of the Resource Development Plan, Life of Mine and the five (5) year plan. You will also assist in coordinating the monthly and daily planning, which will include collating geological information, optimising the Life of Mine Model and summarising tonnage, volumes and quantities from the Life of Mine Plan. In additional to this you will also assist in compiling the blast profiles based on analysis from Geology which will include assisting the Projects with developing and modelling of new coal reserves.

The purpose of this Role will be to monitor and control the planning process and the mineral reserve plans as well as liaison with the customers of the mining value chain in order to obtain a workable plan whilst maintaining the value of the asset.

Serious Contenders will have a Relevant National Advanced Certificate in Mining or equivalent coupled with three (3) years relevant experience. Computer literacy with XPAC knowledge is essential and underground coal mining experience is desirable.
